ASRC P.O.W.E.R. Basketball has been developed to expand the capabilities, confidence, and quality of life for children living with autism. The program is designed to encourage fun, learning, coordination and social interaction in positive environment. Program led by Cole Skinner, Jr. Piston’s Coach of the Year and Grand Blanc Unified Coach (Special Olympics Basketball Program). Additional coaching staff are trained in evidenced-based best practices. Our philosophy is to combine neuro-typical “peer buddies” with youth living with a developmental disability. Players will have an opportunity to engage in a sports program with peers who can help them grow and expand their social experiences.
