ASRC P.O.W.E.R. Basketball has been developed to expand the capabilities, confidence, and quality of life for children living with autism. The program is designed to encourage fun, learning, coordination and social interaction in positive environment. All coaching staff are trained in evidenced-based best practices. Our philosophy is to combine neuro-typical “peer buddies” with youth living with a developmental disability. Players will have an opportunity to engage in a sports program with peers who can help them grow and expand their social experiences.
sUMMER 2022 basketball!
We are excited to welcome back returning athletes and meet new ones this summer! Coach Rachel Gaydos and Coach Danielle Edwards are eager to get started with our basketball program held on Mondays and Wednesdays for 3 weeks beginning June 13th through June 29th. All sessions are held at First Congregational Church (corner of Belsay & Perry Rd) 6494 Belsay Rd . Your child will either be in the 6:00pm-7:00pm class or 7:00pm-8:00pm class depending on their developmental level. Consistent with our membership process, program participants must have a current membership application and Needs Assessment Form on file with us. This allows us to determine appropriate placement for your child. Cost is $100 to participate.
