POWER Camp at Camp Copneconic

ASGGC is in partnership with Camp Copneconic.

POWER Camp  is based at YMCA Camp Copneconic, in Fenton, Michigan.  Four day camp program focused on children ages 7-17 with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

July 31st - August 3rd 2012, optional overnight on last night.

POWER Camp was developed to expand the capabilities, confidence and quality of life for children living with Autism Spectrum Disorders by providing programs designed to encourage fun, learning and social interaction in a positive environment.

All campers will have an opportunity to engage in activities with their peers that will help them grow and -expand their social experiences.

Through a "Peer Buddy" program, POWER Camp provides opportunities for all children to appreciate diversity, learn leadership skills, build friendships and develop a strong value for caring for others.

Our main goas are to provide a nurturing environment that helps kids to celebrate their uniqueness, to take pride in their strengths and to just be a kid!

ASGGC will offer this opportunity to members of the group every other Sunday from 3-6 p.m.

Please watch our website and click on "Members" for swimming dates as they become available.
