adult   &  junior   counselors

2023 POWER Camp Dates 
July 10th-July 13th (Monday - Thursday - approximately 8:00am-4:00pm)

adult   counselors

Adult Volunteers are volunteers who have experience working with children on the autism spectrum.  They will be responsible for leading groups of approximately 7 children/teens with autism, as well as providing leadership to Junior Counselors and Peer Buddies.  This is a wonderful opportunity for school professionals to continue working with children during the summer to further develop their skill set.  Volunteers may include: teachers, social workers, paraprofessionals, occupational therapists, respite workers, etc.

Volunteers will be required to attend an orientation session.  Date TBD.

junior   counselors

​A junior counselor is a high school student at least age 16 who comes highly recommended by teachers.  It's a wonderful opportunity for LINKS students or students who participate in UNIFED programs. Junior Counselors will have the unique opportunity to work directly with children ages 7-18 with autism during a Extraordinary Summer Camp Program! JC's will work within a group of approx 7 children/teens with autism and a few of their peers along with trained professionals. This unique opportunity allows youth with autism to have a summer camp experience designed especially for them.
