Autism Support & Resource Center is proud to offer programs where ASD individuals can explore recreational hobbies and activities in a setting that supports their needs. See below for more details on our programs.
Art & Autism
Our "Art & Autism" program provides an opportunity for those with ASD, regardless of where they are on the spectrum, to participate in the therapeutic and recreational benefits of art while in an inclusive and welcoming setting. Led by local artist and educator, Dana George, children will learn about the 7 elements of art and will engage in projects related to each element. Each week, participants will take home their very own creation. We are now enrolling for FALL 2019! Click the black "Art & Autism" button below.
Our "Dance & Autism" program provides an opportunity for those with ASD, regardless of where they are on the spectrum, an opportunity to experience and explore the art of dance. This class was offered for the first time in January 2019 and incorporated an opportunity to practice social skills as well. Class was led by Dance Instructor, Lauren Berry and ASRC Director of Family & Community Education, Amy Morris. Stay tuned for more information on upcoming classes!
